NIP is a free, student-led immersion into neuroscience and psychology for high schoolers at under-resourced schools — real research skills, a real capstone project, zero cost.
Immersive neuroscience and psychology programs for high schoolers already exist, and they're excellent — but they're usually discovered through a school counselor, a well-connected parent, or a network students at under-resourced schools rarely have.
Mission. Make high-quality neuroscience and psychology education accessible to high school students who would otherwise never encounter it — regardless of their school's resources, their family's ability to pay, or whether anyone ever told them this door was open.
Vision. A future where a student's curiosity about the brain and mind is met with real opportunity, not gatekept by cost or connections — where every student, no matter their school or zip code, can say they've done real research and stood behind it.
Fully virtual, fully free — built for students who are rarely the ones tapped on the shoulder for opportunities like this.
How the brain works, the adolescent brain, emotion, memory, and how scientists actually study the mind.
A live session with a working researcher or grad student — open questions, real answers.
Small groups form. Students learn to find, read, and synthesize credible scientific sources.
Groups of four choose a topic and build a real project together — not a worksheet, a portfolio piece.
Groups present to peers and invited family/guests. A Certificate of Completion follows successful completion of lectures and capstone.
High school students in grades 8–12 — especially those at under-resourced schools with little or no access to STEM or research enrichment. No prior neuroscience, psychology, or research experience required. Just genuine curiosity about the brain, mind, or behavior.
A finished capstone project for your portfolio or college application, real experience reading and synthesizing scientific research, and a Certificate of Completion. Two standout teams each cohort receive a Distinction certification.
No tuition, no hidden fees, no fundraising ask. Regardless of your financial background, you can join this immersive program at zero cost.
NIP is independently run and growing. Here's who's involved so far — across three groups.
Started NIP to build the program he wished had existed — one where a student's zip code has nothing to do with their access to real research experience.
Government Teachers' Training College, Dhaka. Advises on curriculum and educational psychology grounding for the program.

NIP may photograph, record, or collect quotes during sessions or Graduation Day for use in promotional materials. Participants or their parent/guardian may opt out of media use by notifying organizers in writing prior to the relevant session.
Consistent attendance is expected to complete the capstone project and receive a certificate; NIP may set minimum attendance requirements for Graduation Day participation. NIP, its organizer(s), volunteers, and guest speakers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation — participation is voluntary. NIP may modify session content, schedule, speakers, or format at any time, with reasonable efforts to notify participants of significant changes.
